Our journey began with a shared love for movies. After viewing a film, we'd individually rate it on a scale of 1 to 100, calculate the median score, and compare it with critic reviews on platforms like Rotten Tomatoes. Sometimes, our scores differed significantly from critics, leading us to realize our views often aligned with the broader audience on platforms such as Reddit, Twitter (X), and YouTube comment sections.

 

We noticed that fan communities, like Marvel fans, heavily influenced ratings. Despite a movie receiving positive responses from the wider audience, franchise fans often assigned lower scores due to unmet expectations and deviations from comic book accuracy, fueled by social media rumors.

 

Frustrated with the dominance of critics and passionate fandoms, we decided to change the narrative and empower the general audience and movie enthusiasts who simply seek a good film. That's how we came up with this site – a platform that divides scores based on highlighting general audience, but including critics, and super fans, providing a space for all moviegoers.
